About me

One good book can spark a lifetime of reading.

Hello, I'm Aleksandra.I write and illustrate picture books for children in English and French.My stories invite children—and the grown-ups who read with them—to discover the extraordinary within everyday life. I believe childhood isn't something we leave behind—it's a way of seeing the world that we can choose to preserve.Alongside picture books, I create greeting cards, art prints and other hand-crafted creations under my illustrated brand Moulin à Câlins, inspired by the comforting presence of sheep.My background in Romance studies, literary translation and art has shaped the way I think about words and images, and how together they can tell stories that neither could tell alone.I create all my illustrations by hand using pencil and watercolour.
